May bagong programang inilatag ang Department of Education o DepEd na nagsimula makalipas ang halos limang taon. Ito ay ang K-12 Program. Napapaloob sa K-12 curriculum, kailangang dumaan at maipasa ng isang mag-aaral ng senior high school ang work immersion program o WIP ng DepEd kasama ang Kagawaran ng mga Manggagawa sa pakikipag-tulungan ng iba’t-ibang institusyon sa ating bansa. Ang WIP ay binuo upang ang mga mag-aaral ay magkaroon ng pambungad na kaalaman patungkol sa realidad ng buhay at pagta-trabaho. Isang umaga ang mga bata na musmos pa lamang, hindi katangkaran at namamayat sa kanyang pisikal na kaanyuan. Palaboy-laboy, naglalakad at naghahanap ng makakain para sa kanyang almusal kasama ang ibang mga bata na namamalimos at naghahanap ng kanilang makakain. Sila ay paikot-ikot sa isang bahagi ng Magario. “Antonio! Antonio! Antonio! halika rito, may nakita ako. These are the responsibilities which the members of the Art Section of the Creatives Department upholds in their line of work.  Elements like these are vital in a textbook because words alone will not help the readers fully comprehend what they are reading thus, features like these that are found in textbooks are being provided by the Arts Section of the Creatives Department or also known as the Illustration Unit. Skillful people with “natatagong talino” are greatly needed in the Illustration Unit especially those who are proficient in drawing or illustrating. This section’s work mainly focuses on the book’s pictures, drawings, and illustrations.
